Roundabout envelope, Sydney: is a human driving envelope calibrated on held-out entries?
Held out by recording hours, the envelope and the whole-path band both landed in the 93 to 97 % target at 6 of 6 strata. The straight-on envelope also covered 80.9 to 96.4 % of turning cars (target 80 % or less), so it is not specific.
This is Australian left-hand traffic used as a method check, not a UK result.
28 of 178 entries in block 5 (24 Jan 2018, 18:13 to 20:57) left the band, drawn orange where they leave it; block coverage 84.3 % (95 % CI 78.2 to 88.9).
Limits: slower entries only (10,589 of 22,196 cars left out); four of five roundabouts recorded on one day. More behind Method.
