Delete your MapMap Nav data
Last updated: 30 September 2026
To delete your MapMap Nav account, open the app and choose Settings, Account, Delete my account: it is deleted straight away. Or email support@mapmap.ai from the email address you entered in the app. This page says what we hold, what deleting removes, and what is kept. The full detail is in the MapMap Nav privacy policy.
1. What we hold about you
MapMap Nav has no password and no profile. The one personal detail it asks for is the email address you enter when the app first runs, which our servers hold with the licence key issued to your phone.
Held with that email address: the record of when the key was issued, and the IP address and user agent of that request; the key itself, stored as a hash; the key's day-by-day usage counts (which kind of request, how many, and whether it succeeded), which enforce its allowance; and any map problems you reported from the app.
Not held: we keep no location history, no route history and no search history linked to you, and drive recordings never leave your phone. The MapMap Nav privacy policy explains why, request by request.
2. How to delete your account
In the app: open Settings, then Account, and choose Delete my account. After you confirm, your account is deleted on our servers straight away and the app signs you out. If the app cannot reach us at that moment, it tells you nothing was deleted and offers to try again or to email us instead.
By email: write to support@mapmap.ai from the email address you entered in the app, and ask us to delete your MapMap Nav data. Sending it from that address is how we know the request is yours. A person at MapMap carries out each emailed request by hand, and we act on it within one month, as the main privacy policy commits to. We reply to the same address when it is done.
3. What deleting removes
Your email address is deleted from our servers. Deleting in the app also erases the IP address and user agent recorded when your keys were issued.
Every licence key issued to that address is revoked straight away, so it stops working. The app on your phone will then ask for an email address again before it can be used. If you enter one, a new key is issued in the ordinary way.
4. What is kept, and for how long
The day-by-day usage counts of a revoked key are kept for up to 24 months, as evidence for billing and for investigating abuse, and are then deleted or anonymised. The record that the terms were accepted when the key was issued is kept for as long as that agreement could be relevant; when you delete in the app, only its time is kept and the IP address and user agent are erased. Both are set out in the main privacy policy.
Map problems you reported are kept, because they are reports about the map rather than about you: the spot, the kind of problem and any note you typed. Once your email address is deleted they are no longer linked to it.
5. What is on your phone
Everything else the app keeps is on your phone, and you can delete it yourself at any time without asking us. Sign out, in Settings, removes the email address and key from the phone. Trip history and drive recordings can be deleted in Trips, and a downloaded territory can be removed in Settings. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the phone.
On Android, your phone's own backup to Google may hold the app's saved places, recent searches, settings and trip list; you can manage that in your phone's settings (Settings, Google, Backup). On iPhone none of it is in the backup. Neither backup ever comes to us.
